Turkey Divan, a Throwback Casserole
So, apparently Turkey/Chicken Divan with Curry is this amazing throwback casserole that practically the entire world loves??
I am admitting here and now that I never had this growing up – and now I’m upset that this was missing from my life for all this time!? Who knew??
Leftover Turkey Recipe
It’s very apparent right away why this dish was so popular back in the day: it’s inexpensive, it could not be easier to make.
You likely have the ingredients for this turkey divan recipe in your home right now, and it is perfect to use leftovers in!
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the correct pronunciation of this dish?? Is it Dye-VAN or Di-VAHN or Dye-Vahn. If you know, tell me!
Turkey Divan with Curry (The Secret Ingredient)
Okay, it’s not really a secret since it’s in the name, but the curry in this dish just kicks it up to a whole other level, friends!
I’m used to curry in Indian dishes and Thai dishes, but this dish could not be more American. The flavor is subtle but it’s seriously the secret star ingredient in my opinion.
How to Make Turkey Divan
I love using shortcuts for recipes and for this dish I used Rotisserie Turkey breast from my grocery store. And you can certainly make a chicken divan, I mean, rotisserie chicken would be just as divine…heh heh, get it? Divine Divan??? Dork alert.
Just mix, bake and devour! Oh and PS, I love using crushed cornflakes in this recipe but feel free to use panko, breadcrumbs or even potato chips for a complete throwback!

i made this today. Used gruyere cheese instead of cheddar and low salt chicken broth. Also I used a pre cooked turkey breast from Costco. The latter was probably not a great idea but it tasted great. I might make it again with fresh turkey breast. Also I used fresh broccoli and steamed it in microwave in chicken broth.
