Baked Salmon with Asian Glaze

We love salmon around here and usually have it about once a week. Typically I’ll pick up some smoked salmon and we’ll pair it with a Caesar salad or a quick side dish.

Teriyaki Salmon

It’s just so easy to do any time of year when I’m not feeling like cooking. I also like the ease of salmon recipes in the oven. It gives me time to do a few other things while dinner is cooking!

Today, I wanted something warm and with an Asian flare so I decided to whip up our favorite salmon recipe, Maple Teriyaki Glazed Salmon.

The great thing about this recipe is that it’s only a few ingredients and we bake the salmon in the oven.

The glaze is so delicious and perfect to use to top your rice.

Baked Salmon in 20 Minutes

Teriyaki Salmon

This baked teriyaki salmon recipe is ready in just 20 minutes – no need to marinate (although you certainly could!), the salmon just simmers in the sauce and soaks up all that yummy teriyaki marinade.

The addition of maple syrup is also key. There’s something special about the salty sweet taste of this glaze!

As I mentioned, we’re only working with a few ingredients here. I used frozen coho salmon (it’s a lighter salmon flavor than say, sockeye), that I thawed the night before and just whisked the glaze ingredients together right before baking.

We cover the dish with aluminum foil for a bit, then remove it, baste the salmon and then bake it for a little bit longer to finish.
