Smoked Salmon and Avocado Salad
A fresh and delicious kale & spinach salad topped with buttery avocado and salty smoked salmon. Enjoy my Smoked Salmon and Avocado Salad for lunch or dinner! It’s SO easy to make!
We probably eat this salad once a week – it’s such an easy salad to come together and we often use whatever veggies we have on hand. We always start with crunchy greens and then we add what we have in the veggie crisper, top it with cheese, roasted almonds, sunflower seeds, or pepitas, then a squeeze of lemon, and finally a dressing of choice!
I think my point is that with just the basics, you can throw this salad together in no time and since you’re starting with smoked salmon, there’s virtually no prep needed! With warm weather on the way, you too will want to have this Smoked Salmon and Avocado Salad on repeat, I promise!
Where Can I Buy Smoked Salmon?
We are lucky enough to have a Whole Foods nearby and they have smoked salmon daily in their fresh seafood case. However, I’ve also been able to find delicious smoked salmon in almost ALL of the big name grocery stores, so chances are your grocery store will have it, too. For this particular day/photo shoot I had actually had “Salmon Candy” on hand. Um, yes, that’s right, it’s literally called Salmon Candy. And its name is perfect: salty and a little bit sweet. Paired with creamy, buttery avocado, it’s like a dream salad!
How to Make Smoked Salmon and Avocado Salad
As I mentioned, all you need is a few ingredients and big ol’ bowl for this guy. Jeff and I make completely different salads but we both love how easy, delicious and filling this salad is. Set up your own salad bar for the family and see what magic happens! Maybe you don’t have smoked salmon on hand but you’ve got leftover grilled or baked salmon? This is perfect for those! It would also be just as delicious with grilled shrimp! You know we’re huge fans of making things YOUR way around here, so go crazy!
