Grilled Feta Turkey Burgers
Grilled Greek Feta Turkey Burgers are flavored with lemon, capers, garlic, and herbs and topped with a delicious Tzatziki sauce.
The Best Turkey Burger Recipe
These truly are the best turkey burgers! I was never a fan of turkey burgers – for some reason I could just never get them flavorful enough. The flavor just seemed so blah. That is, until now. These are the best turkey burgers I’ve ever had.
There seemed to be two issues with turkey burgers I’ve made in the past: dryness and zero flavor. I promise you these turkey burgers are juicy and VERY flavorful.
Ingredients in Greek Turkey Burgers
We start off with ground turkey. Then we start to build that delicious flavor in these burgers with lemon juice, salty capers, feta, and the perfect combo of oregano, rosemary and garlic.
To take them to a whole other level, I made my own Tzatziki sauce which I think you’ll love, too! No dry turkey here – these are moist and delicious turkey burgers.
What to Serve with Turkey Burgers?
My favorite side dish for Greek Turkey Burgers is usually some type of Shirazi salad with diced cucumbers, tomato, feta, lime juice, oregano, salt & pepper. I finish it with Balsamic vinegar.
Here are some other ideas to serve on the side:
- Green salad with Greek Dressing
- Cucumber and Olive mix
- Spinach salad with Artichokes
- Greek fries (French fries with feta!)
- Greek pasta salad
How to Make Greek Turkey Burgers
Step One: make the Tzatziki Sauce. Mix the ingredients in a small bowl, cover and chill.
Step Two: In a large bowl, add the burger ingredients. Using your hands, gently mix until all of the ingredients are incorporated. Gently form 4 burger patties.
Step Three: Heat your grill or grill pan to med/high heat. If using a grill, brush grill grates with olive oil. If using a grill pan, heat olive oil.
Step Four: Place patties onto grill or pan. Cook the burgers for 5-6 minutes, flip, and cook for 5-6 more minutes.
Step Five: When burgers are almost done, layer on some more feta – you choose how much!
Step Six: Remove your tzatziki sauce from the fridge and slather on your buns.
Step Seven: Place your burgers on the buns, top and ENJOY!
