Which ingredients should you use for sheet pan dinner? The answer to that is – whatever you’d like! You can choose any kind of veggie and protein combination.
The easiest ingredients of course are ones that cook at about the same rate. For us, one of our favorite quick and easy ingredients are pre-cooked sausages.
Vegetable suggestions that cook in the same amount of time as chicken sausage:
- Zucchini and Summer Squash
- Broccoli
- Cauliflower
- Bell Peppers
- Brussel Sprouts

You can find them everywhere now, in all kinds of different flavors. With so many options, the creative recipe ideas are endless! I will add them to a stir-fry, red and white sauces, pizza…the list goes on!

One Pan Meal – No Dishes!
I don’t know about you, but am SO over doing dishes. How about a one-pan meal that requires ONE utensil to wash?? Yep, just your favorite knife!
I mean technically if things get messy, you may have to wash the sheet pan, but here’s my secret: line the pan with aluminum foil, then a sheet of parchment. Toss the foil and parchment and you’ve got a clean pan!
Sausage and Veggie Sheet Pan Dinner Recipe
The Easiest Sheet Pan Dinner - Sausage and Veggie Sheet Pan Dinner is the perfect QUICK meal - just slice and bake and dinner is on the table in 30 minutes!
Ingredients
- 1 package fully cooked sausage, sliced
- 2 medium Zucchini, sliced
- 2 medium Summer squash, sliced
- 2 cups Broccoli florets
- 1 Tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees; line a sheet pan with parchment paper or spray with cooking spray.
- Place the sausage slices on the baking sheet, spreading them out evenly
- In a bowl, toss the veggies with olive oil and add some salt and pepper to season
- Spread the veggies on the pan with the sausages
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, then toss everything with a spatula and finish cooking.
- Remove from oven and serve! Add a side dish if you're looking for a little more like rice or pasta.
