So I decided that I was going to take different techniques and ingredients from recipes and see what I could come up with. The result is this amazing Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. Save this one; it’s the one you’ve been searching for.

How to Make Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
We’re using a combination of white sugar and brown sugar, and I am almost positive this is just one part of what makes this bread super special. It could also be the melted butter? I mean, it’s butter – butter makes everything better!
First step, add melted butter, bananas, egg, sugars, and vanilla to a large bowl and whisk together.
Next, add flour, baking soda, salt:

Ingredients
- 3 med Bananas, Very Ripe, Brown
- 1/3 cup Melted Butter, Cooled
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar, lightly packed
- 1 large Egg
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- Pinch of Salt
- 1 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips, or up to 1 cup depending on how chocolately you like - save some for topping.
- 1 T Sugar Crystals (optional), sprinkled on top.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Spray or line a bread pan with parchment paper
- In a large bowl, add bananas and mash, leaving a few chunks
- Add in the melted butter, mix.
- Add in the sugars, mix.
- Add in the egg, mix.
- Add in the vanilla, mix
- Add in the flour, soda, and salt and mix.
- Stir in the chips or other add ins leaving a few for the top of the bread.
- Pour into the loaf pan, spreading evenly.
- Add the rest of the chips to the top and sprinkle with sugar crystals if using.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, checking with a toothpick around 40 minutes. Cook until toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Cool for 15-20 minutes before removing from pan and slicing.
